Bebe Sounds Angelcare Monitor

BebeSounds Angelcare AC 201 Monitor $85

BebeSounds Angelcare Movement Sensor & Sound Monitor

For parents of Preemies or babies that are at risk of SIDS this might be the monitor for you. For $85 this monitor includes a sensor pad to place underneath your baby’s mattress to detect the slightest of movements a Nursery Unit, a receiver for the parent and two AC adapters.

The Private Connection analog monitor, which runs about $35 with a single receiver and $53 with the dual receiver, gets good reviews. This monitor has a 900 feet range an indicator to let you know if you’ve wandered too far and 10 channels to reduce interference and increase your privacy.

The movement sensor pad can tell if there has not been movement in 20 seconds, an alarm will sound letting you know. You can also turn on the tick feature which will make a sound with every movement your baby makes, but parents say this can quickly become annoying. Although false alarms are possible, Angelcare says that you can avoid them if you follow the instructions to a “t”.

The monitor can also be used as a traditional baby monitor with the sound only feature. It can only be used for one child at a time, so if you have twins you’ll need a second monitor and each baby has to be in their own crib.
