The Private Connection analog monitor, which runs about $35 with a single receiver and $53 with the dual receiver, gets good reviews. This monitor has a 900 feet range an indicator to let you know if you’ve wandered too far and 10 channels to reduce interference and increase your privacy.

Fisher Price has included rechargeable batteries which will save you some money and an indicator to let you know when they need recharging. But, like most other monitors parents complain that the charge does not last long.

The consistent complaints are…the belt clip doesn’t work very well, the volume doesn’t go up high enough and the batteries don’t last long enough. Some parents say they can hear a pin drop, while others are tearing their hair out because it has so much static. With monitors where you live makes all the difference in the world.
